7 weeks into university. a levels didnt seem that far away, and i realised, jc2 students' prelims are over already and their As are coming? how time flies.. i wouldnt say im comfortably settled into uni yet. coz things just happen so quickly.. projects, assignments, tests, sports club, making new friends, knowing 'old' frens all over again. but so far, i think i'm doing ok.. hopefully things stay that way. i'm not one who like big changes. haha.

i'm still half-believing that i'm already a uni student! hahaa.

recess week is here and almost gone. im finally like getting one day off tml? like finally. but i think i need to spend the entire day doing my assignment due next monday. but im still happy coz i get to sleep till i wake up naturally! =) days like this are hard to come by!

i've officially finished one project for this term! so im now left with CS111 and CS108. sayonara to CS102, or at least till e end of yr exams come.

went to see ailin off at the airport yday.. well. she didnt shed a tear. brave girl, i would say. to embark on a new phase of her life in a strange new place.. i wouldnt have the courage to leave my family and friends behind.. i guess im just too comfortable in my own comfort zone.

i shouldnt be typing this. i ought to be typing my 1000-word essay on political censorship of journalism in singapore.. depressing. it's depressing because it's due on tues and this week is supposed to be recess week!

well. i doubt i can come up with anything constructive in an hour's time coz im going out later. haha =X i guess i'll need to rush thru it tml before i go to e airport to send ailin off.. if i cant, i'll need to work thru the nite. OH SIGH. recess' week is super packed. currently, the schedule goes like this.
Mon nite: sending ailin off
Tues: Timon's outing cum getting present for rudith's bday
Wed: CS108 project discussion in the morning, CS dinner and dance at coco latte at nite
Thurs: CS111 project meeting in the morning, angie's tuition at nite
Fri: FREE DAY, at last!
Sat: angie's tuition in the morning, rudith's bday party at nite
Sun: hopefully to do some of the homework that's due after recess week.. like individual research paper for CS108 and the coding sheet for CS101.

meanwhile, the devil wears prada.. here i comeeeeeee!

self serving bias. i attributed my failure to unstable factors as well as things that are beyond my control. maybe i shld start relooking at whether the cause of failure is due to internal dimension. oh well. applying wad i've learn from cs101 in real life.

one presentation, two quizzes down. one more presentation to conquer. the one that i dread. the one that i feel unprepared. the one that is 20% of sem grade. the one with e creepy tutorial teacher. BLAHHH.

collected my macbook. like finally. shall name it xiaobai. :)

met up with ailin, yuhui and birdie for dinner at lao pa sat. pathetic turnout rate. that's like 50% of the team. den again, it was nice meeting up with ailin before she flies off to a far far faraway land in uk.. remember the good things that badminton has brought u. it's ironic how one thing u love so much can bring u so much joy and yet so much pain at the same time. but hey. only remember the good things. unhappy things will become a thing of e past.

two updates in a day! how rare is that. haha. but i think i've just gotta blog bout today. coz friday is a "feeling" day. private joke.

wanted to collect my macbook like after so long.. but they said got no stocks.. and they dunno when the next shipment is coming in! blahhh. so im like currently still laptopless. SIGH. but nvm lah. at least i still haf my trusty desktop to accompany me. heh. anyway this morning during CS101 lecture, the lecturer said something bout brand names. and she accidentally called crabtree & evelyn as CRAB & EVELYN. when i heard the word crab.. i had like sudden craving for crabs! haha. so i told kairu that we shld go eat crabs someday. end up ah.. we really ate crabs today. she came over to my house and we da bao from zichar downstairs!! shiok lah. haha. i think we really must do things on impulse sometimes. coz the joy is lost when u hesitate too long..

and i finally broached the topic of hall-staying with my mom today. Within my expectations, she was dead against it. i would haf ended up quarelling with her if kairu was not present.. oh well. but she kinda like relented in the end, saying if i stay hall, i must pay for it myself.. im considering if it's worth it or not.. so HOW???

im currently in my friday's buddy room right now in hall 7! she'sleeping and im using her laptop to update my blog. haha. coz i haf to entertain myself mah. anyway i've been visiting so many pple's rooms recently! and im kinda excited at the thought of staying in hall.. it would be a different kind of experience definitely. i haven actually lived away from home for a long period my entire life.. it would definitely be a new experience, even if it's only for a short period of time only. but convincing my parents would be a difficult issue, especially my mom. she'll say im wasting money.. that's true to a certain extent coz i live relatively near to ntu. but i really wanna stay hall! for the novelty and all. do u share my sentiments? hais. this weekend, i shall embark on a difficult 'journey' as i shall find an appropriate time to broach the issue of hall-staying. wish me luck guys!

Nuit De Armor

Sports ball 2006 has officially come to an end! it was held at hotel intercontinental at bugis. a very nice hotel i would say. timon's theme. SPANISH. hah. our flamboyant polkadotted dresses with our guys' composers' like tuxedos.. it was WHOA. the dresses turned out to be better than expected. at least the dresses were photogenic. (photogenic means not nice in real life. trust me. haha.) well. food was not bad.. and we actually bidded for a plate of tiger prawns using fake money. all the programmers got drunk. sports king was a surprise! haha. sports queen was not bad. sports ball ended with a phototaking session with disney! :D

we weren't allowed to have so many pple in the hotel room. hotel's policy. max 3 pple overnite. so we got warned by the security guard. so all the rest went out for supper while reina and i stayed back in the hotel room to rot. oh ya. surprisingly. i didnt touch a single drop of alcohol e entire nite! prob becoz they scared we'll get too high from drinking den start making a nuisance of ourselves. all in all.. this marked the end of SU13.

hopefully i'll be part of SU14. Hopefully. :)
