as 2006 draws closer to an end, i think i will take some time to note down significant happenings of 2006..

jan 2006 to march 2006
i was just beginning my training at uob.. my first job after As! the job really gave me a brand new experience.. showing me the world n telling me how sheltered i am from the reality. i've learnt alot during that 3 months plus there.. unreasonable customers. uncontrollable emotions. tears. anger. seeing the uglier side of singaporeans. unforgettable experience i would say.

somewhere in march 2006
i got back my A levels results.. n ABB B3 was on the result slip. within expectations. n i was happy with it.

april 2006 - may 2006
i cant remember wad i was doing exactly. i just know that i was damn relieved that i dun have to pick up any phone calls at uob anymore. days were spent online, prob playing maple story with my unemployed fren, sharon quek. n going out.. meeting frens that i haven met up for a long time.. those were the days that i could really enjoy life.

11th may 2006
letter of acceptance came! i was accepted into then NTU School of Communication & Information which has been renamed Wee Kim Wee School of Communication & Information (a very long name i know, haha). i was overjoyed. but it took me a while to decide to accept the offer from NTU instead of pursuing an econs degree in NUS. but i finally made up my mind n decided that i wan to do something not in the finance world. So NTU here i come!

22 may 2006
19th birthday this yr was spent watching soccer 3rd/4th playoff between sajc n jjc. it was an unusually quiet birthday. with most of my female frens working. n my male frens serving the national service. dinner was just simple fare at coronation plaza "ke ai ji" with sharon after the soccer match.

29th june 2006
i passed my driving test in one attempt! hip hip hooraY!! i cant believe my luck. n i actually fulfilled my own target of getting my driving license before uni started. :)

july 2006
cs foc camp. taiwan. sports camp SU 13.
cs foc camp was a very emotional camp. with all those human cluedo thingy.. haha. shall not rake up not so happy memories. after cs foc camp, it was taiwan trip with bestie geraldine. 4 days 3 nites of fun, shopping n sightseeing! i wanna see more of taiwan! so i'll most prob visit it again! :) sports camp was by far the best camp i've ever attended so far.. i made a lot of new frens there n it is oso prob the reason why i like ntu so much..

august 2006 - nov 2006
a new phase of my life started. university! no more uniform. no more "good afternoon, so-and-so". so far. i'm loving uni life although it can get quite hectic at times.. first exams in uni was scary.. exams in a huge huge hall with many many other pple from different faculty.

holidays spent playing isg.. badminton, touch rugby, frisbee. playing for the honour of WKWSCI! haha. timon bbq was one of the highlights of this holiday, bbq-ing in the rain. FUN! GLs christmas party. SU14 here we comeeee!!!

typing this entry. hah. will be counting down to 2007 at esplanade with pretty fireworks.

exam results were announced today, or rather yday.. it's mins past midnite..

im happy with it i guess. considering that i only started studying one week before the exams started.. i think it was quite good already! i like to feel prepared for exams. me do not like adrenaline rush. next sem.. there's terrible CS816 to conquer.. n im taking econs! i think my brain will explode due to information overload next sem! haha. but no matter wad, 2007 here i come! :)

happy boxing day!

to celebrate boxing day, u must go to "the BOX" at far east to buy a skirt, have lunch at the "bento BOX" n lastly BOX someone! now that's the best way to celebrate boxing day. :)

just checked the official website on ntu server.. results will be expected to come out on the 28th of dec. alrights. it's 2 days away from boxing day.. so that doesnt give me enough reason to box someone when i see it. HAHA.

enough said. i need to get M&Ms chocolates in the heavy rain. person who gets it for gift exchange.. better thank me!! :)

i attended bing xian's commissioning ball yday nite.. it was held on a yacht called the falcon princess. we boarded the yacht at harbourfront cruise centre n it departed for kusu island.. i asked bing xian why they held the ball on a yacht instead of the usual hotel ballrooms n all.. he said it was to make it memorable. n boy, it was memorable for me.

i warned bing xian that i suffer from motion sickness n i asked him to bring motion sickness pills for me. but his reply was that he will bring plastic bags for me... n guess wad.. i was feeling sea sick thru out the whole event. n finally my stomach couldnt stand the churning n i threw up twice! how memorable. haha. i was telling bing xian that it shld be very memorable for him as well..coz his date vomited twice. bleah.

i was so happy when i stepped on land. i couldnt love the hard solid land much more. hahaha..

this was the only photo i took coz i didnt realise my cam was low in batt. this photo was taken with table mates which we hung arnd for the nite..

oh ya, i must commend bing xian for being gentlemanly enough for not neglecting me through out the nite coz i didnt noe many pple arnd n i was not feeling well. n i really thank him for his invitation! an eye opener for me i guess... since i have never attended such events before.

meanwhile, it;s back to me slacking on a lazy wednesday afternoon... i need to get christmas presents!!!

i think my blog entries recently are getting harder to understand.. UNLESS.. u know my little secret. *winks* hahaha.

wads my little secret? it's for me to know. n u to NEVER find out! hahahaa..

next week's schedule's packed with isg stuff.. it's badminton n more badminton. there's foc carwashing on sat.. timon's bbq on sunday is something to look forward to! basically i think i only get a day off next week.

THEREFORE...

i love spending days like that at home, doing nothing but playing the tontie game, youtubing, watching asian games on tv n watching fave 10pm shows on channel u! nothing beats growing into a potato couch. i love days like this, especialy when it rains n i could climb into my cosy bed for a snooze during the lazy afternoon..

am suffering from post badminton muscle aches.. this morning i woke up.. i couldnt sit up coz my abdomen muscles hurt lah. haha.. terrible. anyways the past vs present frenly at ny was quite bad tooo.. coz there was only 5 seniors. it was quite pathetic. n to add to that, many of us haven played badminton for ages.. so we were damn malu in front of the juniors lah. becky n i won one game unexpectedly but shuching n i got thrashed for another.. haha.. we were so not serious on courts (which we would have been given a scolding if we were still in ny) haha.. we were constantly reminded that we were damn old.... n we kept using phrases like "during our time... this this this nv happened..." hahaha. actually i only graduated 3 yrs ago lo. NOT THAT OLD lah. haha.

oh yea, shuching intends to come to cs next yr! n i was like busy promoting the course to her! hahaha.. n forgetting to promote cs foc2007 n sports camp SU 14 to her as well. cant wait for all those camps to come! im sure it will be loads of fun. :)

the truth finally sank in. im happy. :)

shopping with sharon today was fruitful! i finally bought my new bag, after the old one died on me during exams period. drove my dad's car for the first time without his supervision, with sharon as my first passenger. hahaha.. n i realise i can park without poles. just er. give me some time. lol.

going back to ny for past vs present frenly match tml!

all in all. im a happy girl. :)
