BLOG. perhaps blogging will help me unblock the writing block. as i was blog surfing just now... i feel like going overseas for attachment, or exchange or anything of that sort. it just seems like everyone's having fun! i know they are homesick too. but... at least they get to travel? n just having to pass their exams. no GPA consideration. im sorry if i sound sour here. but im really jealous. =( sem 2 syndrome is really setting in badly for me. for those who dunno what is sem 2 syndrome, let me explain. basically one academic year in uni is made up of 2 sems. sem 1 starts in july.. n before that u usually have a 3 month break. but the break between sem 1 and sem 2 is only a short one month. so resulting in sem 2 syndrome, when one is terribly sick of studying n school. it doesnt help that many of the familiar faces in school are not around... n i only take 2 modules from cs. i miss having mac breakfast with my gang after 207 lectures on wed... i just miss the homey feeling that cs used to give me.. this sem. it's just.... a place that i go to for lessons. how sad is that? im currently very grouchy cos i have alot of work on hand that's due next week. so much work. so little time. =( i ought to be doing my MIA essay.. but im stuck on the 2nd page. im feeling very miserable on a rainy afternoon with no one to pour my woes to. well. back to my essay. =( |

first the reading passage was damn hard.. i just slurred over some of the multisyllabic words.. haha. heck lah. just read. for conversation, i just anyhow whack. i couldnt catch the cikgu's whole sentence so i made sense out of the few words i understood and answered. i think i actually guessed the meanings of the sentences quite well. but hor, there was one question when i couldnt answer in malay so i answered in english instead. oh wells. now, i'm just glad that i s/u the module. i think i didnt make a wrong choice at all. but at the rate im going, dun even noe i can get S or not... wish me luck. |

last fri was dinner with ger at essential brews, fruit fondue at coffee club..  rare photo of both of us, as described by ger on her blog.  when we couldn't finish our fruit fondue, this is what we do with our excess chocolate... last sat was buffet dinner at swissotel merchant court with howie n family.. cos his mom works there, so we get staff discount of 50% off!  durian puree or its equivalence! this is damn good. this place is not well known for their desserts for nothing!  a very happy and full duo.. we looked a bit tired here cos u noe when u're too full, u tend to just want to sleep? haha. last sunday, it was x-physique event day.. howie and i were left stranded at this beautiful and serene place.. let me show u how serene it was...   tranquil isnt it? OMG la.. i nearly died of boredom there. i was there from like 7am till 5pm! that's 10 hours of looking out into the sea! =.= i got so bored that i actually took photo of love declaring notes on the pillar inside the pavilion.  this was one of the more interesting scribbles. some people even wrote a love poem in chinese! tues i met up with yuling and had dinner at thai express, city link branch! there was a miscommunication between yuling n me.. n i ended up waiting for her at the city link branch and she waiting for me at the raffles city branch. haha! lucky there's such a thing called handphone. imagine time turned back 10 years ago... well, i haven ate at thai express since like forever. kinda miss their glutinous rice with mango dessert. but i was too full to order dessert that day. will go there n eat the dessert another day. =) n yesterday... was sorta like the highlight of the week. timon outing at wala wala. well. this time round, we invited sharon along too.. she's the new adoptee. haha. singapore really small lah. so we bumped into pple everywhere. we bumped into zing who's already graduated!  we bumped into programmers. junyi, fiona and andy. hongxin not counted cos he's a timonian!  a failed attempt to take a group photo of us.. cos junming's head was not seen at all! the lighting was bad so we couldn't see what we were taking. haha. just snap n tadaaa..  and now u see junming! in another photo. lol.. it is always nice to meet up with timonians. my 'favouritest' bunch of people in ntu sports club cos afterall, it was this very group of pple who make me wanna go back n contribute to sports club. but i guess attendance for outings will become worse in the second half of the year. cos kian hao might be going to dubai to work.. which means he'll be miles away from us. howie's jetsetting to china for gip for 6 months. i dunno if i can hold back my tears in the airport. =( i foresee... my year 3 sem 1 will be a miserable term without many familiar faces around. =( |

timon outing at chijmes hog's breath! =)  only 5 of us lahh.. not a lot as compared to the usual. but im happy to meet up and talk cock with them. it was a little strange though that howie wasnt there.. haha. after all, i knew him together with this very bunch of pple. =) after dinner, we were originally headed for food for thought. but i lost my way at night. hahaha. so we ended up walking all the way to rochor road to eat tau huay! my first time eating there.. also my time experience eating in the alleys. after dessert, we decided to walk around somemore to digest dinner and dessert..   n we ended up at La Selle new school building! acting like freshies, we toured the new building n took many photos! there were interesting art on display, such as this...  Registry of Love Mummification! all the signs on display were titled 'Signs of Change' which means the changes that might take place in Singapore in future. So in future, this artist thinks that we need to go mummify our love so that it will last. a bit pessimistic lah. but i tot the idea was coool and so i decided to take a photo with it. haha. we were pretty amazed at the man-made grass patch in the middle of the school so we had to take many photos with it. ahah.  look, shooting starsss~  oh no, we're stranded on a small island!  and a nice group shot always end things off in a nice way. =) then sunday was spent at National Vertical Marathon 2008! dun have many photos except for this!  Yo Yo! that's my afro boyfriend for u! check him out! x_x |
